2. Free Trial Terms
30-Day Free Trial
- ✓ Full access to all Premium features for 30 days
- ✓ Payment method required upfront to start trial
- ✓ You will NOT be charged until the trial ends
- ✓ Cancel anytime during the trial to avoid any charges
- ✓ We'll send you an email reminder 3 days before your trial ends
Trial Conversion
At the end of your 30-day trial:
- • Your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription
- • You will be charged the applicable subscription fee (monthly or annual, as selected)
- • If you don't want to continue, cancel before the trial ends
- • We'll email you 3 days before the trial ends as a reminder
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods through Stripe, our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor:
- • Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
- • Debit cards with Visa/MasterCard logos
3.2 Billing Cycle
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your selected plan. Your billing cycle begins on the date your trial ends (or the date you subscribe if no trial).
3.3 Taxes
Subscription fees may be subject to applicable sales tax based on your location. Any applicable taxes will be shown during checkout and on your receipt.
4. Automatic Renewal
IMPORTANT: Your subscription will automatically renew
Unless you cancel before your renewal date, your subscription will automatically renew for another period (month or year). You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for each renewal.
30-Day Advance Renewal Notice
We will send you an email notification 30 days before each renewal to remind you:
- • That your subscription will automatically renew
- • The renewal date
- • The amount you will be charged
- • How to cancel if you don't want to renew
This applies to both monthly and annual subscriptions. For annual plans, you'll receive your renewal notice approximately one month before your annual renewal date.
5. Refund Policy
All Charges Are Non-Refundable
Once you are charged, subscription fees are non-refundable. This includes both monthly and annual subscription fees. We encourage you to take full advantage of your 30-day free trial to evaluate the service before committing.
5.1 Cancellation After Payment
If you cancel your subscription after being charged, you will not receive a refund for the current billing period. However, you will continue to have access to all premium features until the end of your paid period.
5.2 No Pro-Rated Refunds
We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the end of your paid period.
5.3 Exception: Service Discontinuation
The only exception to our non-refundable policy: If SpendCaddie discontinues the Service entirely, you may be eligible for a pro-rated refund of unused subscription time.
6. Cancellation
6.1 How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
- • Through Account Settings: Go to Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription
- • Via Email: Contact support@spendcaddie.com
6.2 Effect of Cancellation
- • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- • You retain access to premium features until then
- • After your paid period ends, your account reverts to the Free Tier
- • Your data is retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- • You can resubscribe at any time
6.3 No Penalties
There are no cancellation fees or penalties. Cancel whenever you want.
7. Failed Payments
If a payment fails (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds):
- • We will attempt to charge your payment method up to 3 times over 7 days
- • We will notify you via email after each failed attempt
- • You can update your payment method in Account Settings at any time
- • If all retry attempts fail, your subscription may be suspended
- • During suspension, you will not have access to premium features
- • Your account will be reactivated once payment is successfully processed
8. Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify our pricing. If we change the price of your subscription:
- • We will notify you at least 30 days before the price change takes effect
- • The new price will apply starting with your next billing cycle after the notice period
- • Your current billing period will not be affected
- • You can cancel before the new price takes effect if you do not agree to the increase
